Candidate for the 2025 Municipal Elections!
I am the Deputy Mayor of the growth and development sector in Tampere. With over a decade of experience advancing digital development and data policy at both local and national levels, my goal is to strengthen Tampere’s position as an innovative and vibrant city that leverages digitalization for the benefit of residents and businesses.
I have been actively involved in developing data policy for the National Coalition Party (Kokoomus) and have led the party’s digital vision since 2017. Additionally, I have represented Kokoomus in the parliamentary data policy cooperation group since its inception in 2019 (www.tietopolitiikka.fi), where we laid the groundwork for the digital policies in the current government program. The latest publication I’ve co-authored with this group is a handbook on artificial intelligence for decision-makers.
I initially became interested in influencing the field of information and technology policy while working in product development and sales at Telia. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from Tampere University.
